Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z are to co-headline the third and final date of this year's
Wireless Festival in London, it has been confirmed.
Both acts will headline individual dates prior to the joint show, with Justin Timberlake headlining the festival on Friday July 12, and Jay-Z closing the Saturday (July 13). However, the pair will come together for a special preview of their US tour, titled Legends of the Summer, on Sunday July 14. They will be joined by an impressive line-up of hip-hop acts on that date including A$AP Rocky, Nas and A Tribe Called Quest's first UK show in 20 years.
The London bash, which for the first time this year will take place in London's Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in east London, as opposed to its previous home in Hyde Park, will see Timberlake and Jay-Z make their only UK festival appearances of the summer.
it was previously announced that Timberlake will play on Friday July 12, along with Snoop Dogg, Trey Songz, John Legend, Miguel and Frank Ocean. New additions to that line-up today (March 12) include Ke$ha, Wretch 32, Conor Maynard and Iggy Azalea.
Meanwhile, Jay-Z will perform on Saturday July 13, along with Emeli Sande, Rota Ora, Kendrick Lamar, Miguel, DJ Fresh and Calvin Harris. The latest additions to his date include Macklemore and Flux Pavillion.
Dennis Hone, Chief Executive of London Legacy Development Corporation said "It’s a credit to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park that this year’s Yahoo! Wireless Festival is the fastest selling in the event’s history and we are delighted that both Justin Timberlake and Jay Z, will be performing a third date here in July with a preview of their Legends of the Summer Tour."
