Rihanna was forced to cancel her concert on Friday in Boston after contracting laryngitis, it was announced today. Laryngitis is an inflammation of the larynx. It causes hoarse voice or temporary complete loss of the voice because of irritation to the vocal cords.
RiRi was scheduled to perform at the TD Garden, but Live Nation postponed the show this morning, saying, “Unfortunately, following her sold out concert on Friday, Rihanna has contracted laryngitis and per doctor’s instruction is unable to perform this evening.”
She is scheduled to play a show in Baltimore on Tuesday, which Live Nation says is scheduled to go on as planned. The Boston show will be rescheduled.
