According to the neighbours, the woman had travelled upcountry to vote but returned home unexpectedly only to find her husband in their matrimonial bed with her best friend.
The wife is said to have gotten mad and left only to go and drink a pesticide. She was rushed to hospital but died before getting treated. The husband and lover have since gone missing and police are looking for them.
Area police boss confirmed the incident saying that he will follow up the matter with the relevant authorities. He asked couples to respect the marriage institution and always be faithful to their partners.
