Patrick Strickland launched legal action against Drake and the owners of the W.i.P. club in SoHo in Manhattan Supreme Court on Monday (08Apr13). He claims the nightspot's owners are responsible for the head injury he sustained during a brawl between the two stars' entourages because they sat the two parties next to each other, despite employees knowing there was tension between the rival groups. In legal documents, a lawyer for Strickland alleges the seating arrangement created "a substantial and unjustifiable risk that a mass altercation would occur between the two camps". He is seeking unspecified damages. It is the latest in a long line of legal action which has been sparked by the incident - Brown and Drake are suing each other over the fight, while basketball star Tony Parker is reportedly suing nightclub bosses for his injuries after he was caught up in the brawl.
