We think we just fell in love. Verna Owen of Chesapeake, Va., turned 100 years old on Easter Sunday, and she
celebrated it by rapping (yes, that kind of rapping) at church. As you can see in the above video, Verna’s not half bad at the rhyming thing. (“It’s a cruel, cruel world when you stop to think/If you want to survive you got to swim not sink.”) In fact, Owen is impressive all around: In 2011, she was the oldest woman to compete in the National Senior Games in Houston, where she snagged silver medals in bowling and the discus.
