Apparently referring to moves by some political elements in the to malign his person, Niger State Governor, Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, has stated that he cannot be neutralised.
Aliyusaid yesterday in Minna at the launch of a training programme for 300 youths in modern livestock and fish farming that he would not be bothered as long as he was doing the right thing.
The governor, who is rumoured to be nursing a presidential ambition, has been outspoken in recent times over the state of the nation.
He was the one who revealed that President Goodluck Jonathan signed a pact with Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors in the run up to the 2011 elections that he would do a single term as president, if he gets the party’s ticket.
“People will abuse you, people will call you names no matter what you do and even if they don’t know how to get at you, they will wait when there is a competition to get you down if they can’t get you to their side.
“But as for me, no one can neutralise me by the grace of God who created me.”
Aliyu further called on his colleagues and other political office holders to keep proper account of their activities so they could be able to defend themselves when the need arises after leaving office.
“Try to do the right thing, keep your records right so that when they come, you can show them the books then no one will be able to hold you,” he added.
