There are unconfirmed reports that the First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan will, in the next few days, be out of the country to visit hospitals in Europe.
Sources say the first lady is officially scheduled to visit Spain but there are speculations that she will also be in Germany for medical treatment to render her fit for enough to attend an African First ladies event scheduled for Addis Ababa later in January.
Last year, Patience Jonathan was in Europe for a prolonged period of time when she was believed to have been receiving treatment for an undisclosed ailment.
Her media managers had, however, maintained that the first lady was out of the country for “a moment’s rest.”
Several sources had reported that the first lady underwent a surgical procedure in Germany but this could not be independently confirmed.
