Kansas City is slowing gaining a reputation where people go for bad football, good music and the chance to be killed for no reason. According to Kansas City police, a shootout started in a bar after a pregnant woman’s water broke. The incident led to a chain reaction which then led to chaos, injury and death.
The pregnant woman was dancing at the EB Bar & Grill when her water broke. This, according to police, led to nasty comments about the woman, which caused an argument between two groups of men. The argument then, as if on a script from “The Boondocks,” led to gunfire outside the club. A 40-year old man was hit during the shooting and another innocent person was hit by a stray bullet.
Police found the offenders in a getaway SUV, where the men allegedly tossed the gun used in the crime. A felon-in-possession charge has been made against Cyrano R. Irons, a 23-year old man. He was already on probation for assault. No one has said much about whether the men were going to use the SUV for what it was meant to do: Drive a pregnant woman to the hospital and then spend several years taking the baby to soccer games. Instead, the birth of a child has been marked by violence.
