Nigeria’s President Goodluck Jonathan has commended the national football team, the Super Eagles for qualifying for the quarter-final of the African Cup of Nations in South Africa.
According to a statement by his Media Adviser, Reuben Abati through his Twitter account, “President Jonathan congratulates the Super Eagles on their well deserved victory in the match against Ethiopia today. He urges them to go for Gold.”
The Super Eagles had triumphed over Ethiopia via two penalty kicks by Chelsea winger, Victor Moses , to book a place in the quarter-final match on Sunday against Cote D’Ivoire.
