On sunday, a group of women, mostly residents of Mpape area of Abuja went over to the presidential villa to protest against the forceful acquisition of their landed property by the first lady Dame Patience Jonathan and were turned back by the security officials.
They later re-strategized and found their way back into the main section of the presidential villa carrying placards until they were apprehended by security officials in charge.
The security breach has made heads roll as those in charge are now cooling their heels.
A security official who asked not to be named said it's better for the Presdency to be proactive than reactive in protecting the presidential villa.
