The FRSC, Itori Unit Commander, Fatai Bakare, said that two unidentified persons lost their lives in an accident along Ilogbo Junction on the Lagos- Abeokuta Expressway.
He said that the incident happened when a cement laden articulated vehicle marked EKY 103 XB collided with a commercial motorcycle at the junction.
“Officials from the unit numbering about seven rushed to the scene of the accident to rescue victims,” Mr. Bakare said.
He said the officials were chased away by angry youth from the accident scene.
“Miscreants, who were angered by the instant death of the cyclist and his passenger, used stones and sticks to chase our officials.
“FRSC officials had to disguise in a private car before they could get access to the scene of the accident to clear the road to allow free flow of traffic,” he added.
