the police public relations officer [PPRO] for the police department in Kano may have been gun down by Jihadists suspected to be off the Boko Haram sect.
Musa Majiya, the bother to the PPRO, was also a senior police officer. He was gun down at his home located at the suburbs of Kano metropolis at Sabon Gandu – near the Kano ancient city -along Naibawa Express to Dakata . The area is predominantly occupied by Hausa indgenes.
The latest attack on state security personnel in Kano marks the continuance of violence targeted against the security structure in Kano. It hit its bloodiest mark in January of 2012 when Jihadists launched a broad attack on the major police stations in Kano – leaving over 250 dead in the process – and thousands more injured.
The PPRO was not answering his calls.
