An explosion from a refuse dump behind a market in Kachia LGA of Kaduna state caused a scare among residents of the town.
According to the sources, the loud explosion was heard from a refuse dump which had een set on fire earlier.
Reacting, Chairman of Kachia, Hon. Peter Agite reported that no one was hurt, but the police were still trying to decipher the cause of the explosion.
Police PRO Aminu Lawan disclosed that a detachment from the bomb squad were already to on ground, trying to identify the obeject that caused the explosion.
Residents say that the area was an unlikely target as it was not surrounded by residential buidings.
