Six students from St Monica Chakol Girls Secondary school girls were expelled over the weekend for attempting to burn down their school.
Sources reveal that the form three and four girls had bought petrol and were mobilizing others to join them in the act. It is said that they were protesting against the transformation of the school into a model institution.
Their plan botched after the Head Girl reported the matter to the administration. The school’s board meeting found the students guilty and decided to expel them from the school. The board found the offence serious and worth the punishment.
Teso South DEO, Bonventure Wasikoyo, who attended the meeting, commended the quick action taken by the Head Girl and pleaded with the students to always raise concerns to the administration. He discouraged the students against such plans.
