The Federal Government of Nigeria was unable to serve charge on 2011 XMAS day bombing
prime suspect, Kabiru Sokoto, on Wednesday before a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.

Sokoto, who was brought to court under  heavy security in a Peugeot 406 with registration number Abuja, BR 867 RSH was putting on a light brown jalabia with  bathroom slippers.

When the matter was called, the accused was asked to enter into the dock and as the charge was about to be read to him, the trial judge, Justice Ademola Adeniyi, observed the charge and other processes have not been served on the accused.

Prosecution counsel, C.N. Onuegwu, prayed the court to allow the accused take his plea, adding that all the other applications would be served on him before the next adjourned date.

Justice Adeniyi, however, ordered the SSS to make the charge sheet, proof of evidence, a written case summary and and other applications available to the accused on or before April 12.
