Michelle Bello’s romantic comedy, ‘Flower Girl’ has premiered in Accra. The star-studded ceremony at the Silverbird Cinemas was attended by the cast of the movie including Chris Attoh, Damilola Adegbite, Chuks Chukwujekwu and Bikiya Graham-Douglas’ as well as several of Ghana’s A-listers such as Lydia Forson, Juliet Ibrahim, PY Addo Boateng, Deborah Vanessa and Efya, who did the original soundtrack for the movie.‘Flower Girl’ is a romantic comedy that involves the life of Kemi, a shy florist, who is desperate to tie the knot with her long-time boyfriend Umar. Contrary to her expectations, Umar suddenly breaks up with her, leaving her devastated. In a desperate bid to get him back, Kemi teams up with a most unlikely ally, Tunde Kulani, a famous playboy Nollywood star.
The movie touches on the issue of young women who are in a hurry to get married and the obsession with an all good-looking spotless wedding and not the crucial long-term commitment required to make a marriage last. Flower Girl is co- produced by Michelle Dede, and written by Jigi Bello.
