Ryan Gosling 'lashes out at photographer for calling his girfriend 'Baby'

He is adored by women the world over.

And it seems that Ryan Gosling has given his female fans another reason to fall even more in love with him.
The Notebook star reportedly got defensive when a fashion photographer affectionately greeted his girlfriend Eva Mendes on Friday night.

The incident occurred at the Bowery Hotel when the snapper in question, who recently worked with the 39-year-old actress on a photo shoot, yelled out 'Hey Baby' to Eva from across the room.
According to sources who told The New York Post, the 32-year-old actor 'flipped out'.
'Ryan completely flipped out, and it got heated,' the bystander said.
'Ryan got in the guy’s face and said, "Who are you calling baby?" Eva had to jump in and calm everyone down before it came to fisticuffs. Ryan then made nice and shook the guy’s hand.'

Ryan and Eva were staying in the hotel while they were promoting their new movie, The Place Beyond The Pines, in the Big Apple.
The couple have been dating since September last year and cuddled up on the red-carpet for the premiere of the movie last Thursday night.
In the past Ryan has been known as a lover not a fighter, even jumping into a brawl last year to break it up.
The actor became an internet phenomenon when he leaped to the defense of a man involved in a street fight.

The incident was caught on camera and has since been viewed over a million times.
In the clip, a number of people tried to tear the fighting men apart before Ryan walked towards the altercation and bystanders recognised him.

Handsome: Ryan has a huge female fan base due to his good looks and lovely nature
The actor physically restrained one of the men in the fight after dropping his grocery bag.
He took the pair away from traffic at the intersection, while female fans realised that he was ‘the guy from The Notebook'.
But following the incident, Ryan admitted that he wished he had 'kept his nose out' after discovering the full facts behind a melee.
He said that all the attention made him uneasy, and that no one had benefited from the incident, in which a painter was trying to restrain a thief who had ran away with one of his artworks.
Ryan said: 'I'm embarrassed. I think the guy really was stealing the other guy's painting so I should have just kept my nose out of it.'
The Notebook star admitted that he did not realise his mistake until he spoke to the artist who had been trying to restrain the thief.
He said: 'It was sad, because it turns out that I said to the guy, 'Why are you doing this?'
'He said, 'Well, he tried to steal my painting. I said, 'How do you know?' and he said, 'Well, he comes here every day and looks at my paintings.'
'Which means the guy was a fan, and so he wanted the painting so bad he had to steal it because he couldn't afford it.
'So he finally steals the painting, and then he's getting his ass kicked by his hero, and then 'the guy from The Notebook' shows up and makes it weirder.'
And even though Ryan got a huge amount of publicity from his antics in the run up to the release of his movie Drive at the time, he denied he had benefited from the incident.
'The whole thing, nobody wins, nobody won. I did not win,' he said.
'You know what, I had just come from the gymnasium and I was all stretched out and feeling warmed up, so I'm embarrassed.'
