head of the forthcoming 2015 general election in the country, the Bauchi based political organisation, Bauchi Awareness Action Group, has endorsed the state governor Isa Yuguda to contest for president.
In a press release signed by the group’s chairman, Alhaji Bashir Abubakar titled “appreciation of Yuguda administration” and distributed to newsmen in Bauchi, the group explained that their endorsement of the governor for president was in consideration of what he has done in office so far.
“The governor has in the last five and half years made frantic effort in improving the life of the common man in and around the state. He said many of his achievements include “ the construction of the Bauchi airport in the Bauchi State capital and the state University in Gadau Local Government. Therefore it is high time for Nigerians to see these good qualities and call on him to join the 2015 race as presidential candidate and elect him to lead the country”, he said.
He said even though the governor had stopped politicians from pasting his posters for the presidency, the group finds it imperative to do so adding that it will soon embark on massive campaign in that respect.
Abubakar said that these projects had made tremendous impact in the socio-economic wellbeing of the public through job creation and urged Yuguda to continue to provide the dividends of democracy to the people of the state.
