The late Whitney Houston’s mother, Cissy Houston in her upcoming memoir ‘Remembering Whitney’ has expressed her fears that she may not have been a good mother to the late queen of music who passed away February 2012.
Cissy Houston in an interview with an international magazine confessed that she questioned her parenting skills and wonders if she could have saved Whitney from the drug abuse that played a role in her death.
“Was I a good mother?” Cissy asked. “I still wonder if I could have saved her somehow. But there’s no book written on how to be a parent. You do the best you can.”
The 79 year old who was also a singer, talked about her daughter’s personal life and career while promoting the memoir where she revealed more about their life and the early days of Whitney’s career.

Cissy Houston also discussed her daughter’s ex-husband Bobby Brown, who has had his own substance abuse problems and clash with the Houston family.
Cissy further admitted in the interview that she was worried that her 19 year old granddaughter, Bobbi Kristina who Whitney left behind will follow in her mother’s path.
