Nikki Reed just celebrated -- and mourned -- the end of the "Twilight Saga" franchise, but just because she's got a little extra time on her hands, doesn't mean she's ready to start a family.
The 24-year-old actress told HuffPost Celebrity that
she and hubby Paul McDonald, 28, are basking in newlywed bliss and aren't too concerned with expanding their brood.
"We talk about having kids," Reed explained. "I like that we talk about it a lot, so I feel like we’re going to be really prepared ... Well hopefully." She added, "I don’t know if anyone is ever really prepared. It’s one of those things that happens when it supposed to happen. So, I don’t know if it’s going to happen right now, but eventually."
As for married life, Reed says she and McDonald are loving it.
"It’s great!" she gushed, explaining that the pair have been traveling around
promoting their EP, "The Best Part,"
which was released in November. "We are enjoying playing music together," she continued. " It’s kind of like we’re on vacation because we get to go and sing, but it’s really about the fact that we get to do it together. That we write together, that we record together that we take our album photographs together. It's a way of just bonding."
Plus, Reed admits it helps to keep the spark alive!
"When it comes to being newlyweds -- I know it’s been like a year, almost a year and a half,
but we’re still newlyweds -- it’s sweet because it creates a very romantic environment to go and do all this singing together," she said.
