Ex-militants leaders in the Niger Delta region, under the aegis of Izon Ikemi, have faulted persons
calling for amnesty for Boko Haram, saying the gesture is “not for heartless, faceless and mindless murderers”.
The ex-militants, in their communique on Wednesday, also called on the National Assembly to investigate the controversy surrounding the oil block ownership in the country.
They said, “Boko Haram, her apologies and sympathisers must stop forthwith the demand for amnesty because amnesty is not for faceless, unconscionable, heartless, brutish, unpatriotic, unfeeling and mindless murderers.
“We wish to condemn all supporters of these petty demands who attempt to make comparism between Boko Haram and the justifiable agitation for resource control and self-determination. Northerners or any other tribe of Nigeria have the right to agitate for control of whatever resources if any”
The ex-creek warriors said their decisions were taken in a meeting they held in Lekki, Lagos State.
The communique, which was signed by over 40 ex-militant leaders further lamented the state of the East- West Road.
