Boko Haram destroys 209 public schools in Yobe — Governor

Governor Ibrahim Gaidem of Yobe State on Thursday said a total of 209 public schools have so far
been burnt or destroyed by members of the fundamental Islamic sect, Boko Haram, since they started their campaign of violence in the state.

He added that government vehicles and property worth N2.5bn and private buildings estimated at N629m have been destroyed by the sect members.
