The Ghana Movie Awards golden statuettes meant to be given to the winners of the third edition and some winners from the second edition, of the awards have finally arrived in Ghana. The statuettes were unveiled
at a ceremony at the office of head sponsors, Rlg in Accra. In attendance were some winners including Funny Face, Rahim Banda, and Afia Schwarzenegger (Nana Hemaa), who picked up their awards for Best Actor in a TV series, Best Actor in a Supporting Role English Language and Best Actress in a TV series respectively.

Other winners present were singer Bisa (winner of Best Original Soundtrack for Azonto Ghost). Nollywood producer and director Andy Boyor received statuettes for his compatriots, Alex Usifo, Patience Ozorkwor, Desmond Elliot and Caroline Danjuma who won the following awards; Best Actor African Collaboration from the movie ‘Off The Hook’, Best Actress African Collaboration with ‘Untamed’ and Best Picture African Collaboration from the movie ‘In The Cupboard’. He also received the award for veteran Olu Jacobs who picked the Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to the Nollywood and African Film Industry.
According to the Ghana Movie Awards organizers, the delay was as a result statuettes being impounded by the immigration officials at Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
