Weather forecasters, dust, rain and heavy cloud conditions are expected to persist across the United Arab Emirates through Sunday at the earliest, weather forecast has shown.
In an official forecast on Friday, officials at the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology in Abu Dhabi said that UAE residents will continue to experience poor visibility and unstable weather in the coming days, thanks to dusty conditions created by dense cloud and high winds.
According to the national weather centre, accumulating clouds formed over the eastern region on Friday afternoon and coupled with moderate to high winds created additional dust, which further reduced existing poor visibility.
The weather forecast is calling for scattered rains on Saturday and increasing cloud. Winds are expected to come out of the northwest later in the day and winds should pick up to become strong.
A “significant drop in temperature” is also expected on Saturday evening and into Sunday morning, officials have said.
More dust, rain and cold weather are forecast for Sunday as part of the unstable weather mass moving across the region.
